Mystic is a singer and MC from the Bay Area who dropped a tight debut album in 2001 named “Cuts for Luck and Scars for Freedom”. The first time I heard her spit was on the B.U.M.S “Lyfe n Tyme” album and I knew she was going to be tight. Unfortunately, she was ahead of her time and the industry was not ready for a female MC from the West with something to say. On her album she shows us many styles, going from straight soulful tunes to old fashioned boom bap with hard beats and rhymes. She even does some spoken word. A truly different Hip-Hop album that fell under the radar.
