YOUNG, BLACK & JUST DON’T GIVE A FUCK…YOUNG NOBLE & STIC.MAN
by C-Town on April 12th, 2007

In 2006, Dead Prez member Stic.Man and Outlawz member Young Noble teamed up to release “Soldier 2 Soldier”, a crash course on how to be a revolutionary thug. I was kinda skeptical at first but since I’ve always been a Dead Prez fan, I decided to give it a listen. All I have to say is…damn. This is exactly what the streets need. Hard ass beats and real talk rhymes that don’t come off all holier than thou but really speak to the hood from experience. This album shows that just because you’re positive you don’t have to be soft along with it. The beats range from standard gangsta fare to soulful more Hip-Hop sounding tracks and are an adequate vehicle for their rhymes. Bottom line is this album is some much needed get-right for a market that supersaturated with mindless gangsta rhetoric.
