WAIT TILL I GET MY MONEY RIGHT
by C-Town on June 26th, 2007
50 CENT Ok, we all know that 50 Cent got shot up, and was left for dead after the JMJ deal. He could’ve taken many routes after his life was on the line. As Chamillionaire let us know, the greatest victory is revenge. 50 has proved to be one of the most successful Hip-Hopreneurs in our time. So it’s only right to bring it back to where the buzz started. So, this is for all the haters who think 50 sold out or he sucks and all that other bullshit. He has crafted, and pimped the system to create a powerful movement and continues to make it happen!- 1hunnid

SLEEPER CELL: SO..HOW’S YOUR GIRL?…HANDSOME BOY MODELING SCHOOL
by C-Town on June 25th, 2007
In 1999, Dan the Automator and Pince Paul hooked up to releases a concept album under the nam of Handsome Boy Modeling School. The premise was based off of an episode of the 90’s cult sitcom, “Get A Life”, where the lead character played by Chris Elliot, enrols in modelling school. The whole vibe was a satirical look at the vain, and overly spoiled attitudes of people in the so-called “upper crust” of society. For this project they recruited such talents as, Del The Funky Homosapien, DJ Shadow, Kid Koala, Roisin Murphy and more. This album pretty much went over alot of peoples heads, and failed to create much of a buzz outside of Hip-Hop nerd and hipster circles. Mos def a good listen for folks looking for something different in their Hip-Hop intake.

THE SLEEPWALKER…CAT POWER
by C-Town on June 25th, 2007
Cat Power is an Indie Rock act from Atlanta, GA, who is known for her minimalist song arrangments and ethereal vocals. The former High School dropout, started playing in Atlanta, and eventually moved to New York City, where she got into experimental music. In 1994, she opened up for Liz Phair, and gained the attention of Steve Shelley of Sonic Youth. She dropped her debut album in 1995, and started to create a buzz in the underground music scene. Her sound can be described as dark, guitar driven, and makes great use of distorted sounds. Cat Power’s haunting vocals make me think of a person full of anxiety and angst, perfect for when you’re in one of “those moods”. So, if you’re a fan of somber, laid back Indie Rock, give Cat Power a listen.
