BACK FROM THE DEAD (EP)…ZOMBIE GIRL
by C-Town on August 8th, 2007
Zombie Girl is an Industrial act from Canada, that makes heavy Electronic tracks in the same vein as Marilyn Manson. Using horror movies as a theme apparently never goes wrong, and the production features some pretty good head-banging moments. Eerie keyboards and tripped out lyrics make this a cool listen for fans of Industrial Rock.

FIKK DICH MIT FIRE…HANZEL UND GRETYL
by C-Town on May 16th, 2007

Hanzel Und Gretyl are an Industrial/Electronic Rock band in the same vein
of Rammstein and even though they sing alot in German, they are based outta NYC.
Their sound mixes Electronica with melt your face, heavy guitars and vocals that sound like they were written in the depths of hell. Their vibe is based off of the idea of a future on Earth, where machines have taken over and they turn this vision into sound. They are obsessed with World War 2 Germany and it’s reflected in their stage presence and dress but use it more for shock value, rather than to project political views. Their stage show is high energy, in your face fury and might leave you tone deaf at the end of the night, but it’s a rip roaring good time (it was still kinda awkward being the only Black guy there). I had the opportunity to meet them and I gotta tell you, they’re pretty cool. They chopped it up with a playa for a minute and hooked me up with some autographed merch. If you don’t like bands like KMFDM, I wouldn’t recommend you check out Hanzel Und Gretyl, but this should be a good listen to fans of heavier Rock.
